Here is my daughter! My pride and joy. Born on July 9, 2008 @ 12:18 AM, 6.7 lbs, 19inch long. I got the the whole thing on video so ten years from now she can see the whole thing. Its amazing how God created women and the things that they are cable of doing in. Carrying a child for nine months in there stomach and then watching them come out is just amazing.
That' s us coming out of the hospital in Irvine. We couldn't wait to get out. You have nurses and people come in and out all times of the day that it drives you nuts. Lucky for us we were out in two days.
My little Princess! Well what else have I been up to. Work work work, and work. I am still a Store Manager for Mervyn's. This is my second turn around store and my last. I love my job way to much, I started to go back to church, I meet a group of guys every Thursday to read scripture and for accountability. Ben Immink has been my roommate for the past 1yr and 3mths. Great support in getting me back in to church and connected with God. Other than that nothing much. I am currently on Paternity leave for 6weeks to help take care of my daughter. It was fun for the first few days but then I am just bored out of my mind @ home. Kayla sleeps most of the day so you cant really play with her. Well this is it for now. |

| Well since some great minds are wondering as to what happen on Friday. I didn't receive any feedback for the reason being that I had to travel with the District Manager along with my AM's of the store.
However I am considered to become a Store Manager. I am what they call "B Back-up." Here is what that means. As soon as an opportunity arises and the store seams like the right one for me then I get the store. We are predicting by April or March I should have my store (I hope thats true). My store manager says I should be very proud of my self. I did really well in the interviews and I am 24yrs old and already going to be a store manager. I am probably the youngest in the district.
What does all this mean to me? That I am not willing to take a small store ($12million or Less) I want a medium store $15.5million or greater. Unless the price is right. Until I hear other wise I will keep you posted.
Thanks for the encouragement! |

| Well I had my Regional Assessments yesterday. I interviewed with 6 District Managers and the Regional VP of Mervyns. I didn't go to District Assessments because my managers felt I didn't need that so instead they told me I was going to Rigionals five days prior to the interviews. Which wasn't very nice.
I was competing with 3 other Managers of Operations. With all honesty they didn't seam like competition to me. However they probably thought the same when they saw me (a short bold guy but with a nice suit). I was the last one that was left when everything had ended. It seams that all the interviews were longer with me than everyone else. Every interview lasted about 45 minutes (two DMs at a time). I came out of my last interview and everyone was gone.
I don't have much news yet because I haven't received my feedback. I will know by Friday. However I was informed that I am considered to be at a Store Manager Level now its a matter of time for the store to open. My giggest concern was going in there and failing and them telling me that I would have to interview again in a couple of months. Luckily I don't have to. |
